„Dzīvās arheoloģijas dienas” Ķērnavā

4. līdz 6. jūlijam Ķērnavā (Lietuva) norisinājās 12. Dzīvās Arheoloģijas dienas. Šo pasākumu ne velti uzskata par nozīmīgāko Eksperimentālās Arheoloģijas festivālu Baltijas valstīs, jo tas pulcē daudzus interesentus, kas demonstrē visdažādākos senos amatus un prasmes. “Senzemes” biedri ne tikai demonstrēja dažādus amatus, tērpus, bruņas un ieročus, bet arī organiēja apmeklētāju apmācības lokšaušanā, piedalījās seno cīņu paraugdemonstrējumos un lokšaušanas sacensībās. Kā jau parasti, Latvijas pārstāvji bija apvienojušies “Daugmales ciemā” – kopīgi “Senzeme”, “Trokšņu iela”, rotkalis Uģis Drava u.c. Neskatoties uz ārkārtīgi karsto laiku, apmeklētāju netruka visas trīs festivāla dienas.

From 4th till 6th of July at Kernave (Lithuania) 12th “Living Archaeology days” took place. This event is rightfully considered to be the most important Experimental archaeology event in Baltic states, since it gathers a multitude of participants, who perform ancient handicrafts and various demonstrations. Members of “Senzeme” not only performed crafts, showed costumes, armour and weapons of Iron Age, but also tutored visitors in archery, took part in combat demonstrations and archery contest. As usually, Latvian representatives were united in “Daugmale village” – “Senzeme”, “Trokšņu iela”, jeweler Ugis Drava and others. Despite extremely hot weather, there were never a shortage of visitors for the entire duration of the festival.
